The domestic treble consisting of the League Trophy, the League Cup and the Scottish Cup, won under Martin O'Neills glorious first season in charge came to Letterkenny in November of 2001.

As the tour bus pulled up it was met by the Letterkenny Community Band! The scene was really spectacular. The band marched up the Main Street to the sounds of the 'Fields of Athenry' as the crowd walked behind the displaying Trophies.

Lisbon Lions Bobby Lennox and Stevie Chalmers trooped just yards behind trophies. The Main St came to a complete halt as shopkeepers and locals stood clapping and cheering. Organiser, Paddy Sweeney, said "all round it was a great day for the County Of Donegal with the visit of the trophies".
