Francis J. Collins (Co. Dublin)

Goalkeeper Frank Collins "clean, clever, sturdy" was signed as cover for Charlie Shaw after putting up the shutters for Junior Ireland versus Scotland at Parkhead on March 12th 1921.

Made his debut against Dumbarton in a 4-0 home victory on the 6th of September 1921.

Frank met the Celtic party in London on its way to the Battlefields on May 21st 1921 and played his first game for the club against R et C Athletique in Paris on May 28th.

As a Celtic reserve he was capped for Ireland versus Scotland at Parkhead (4th of March 1922) but was open to transfer at the end of the season:
"Charlie Shaw's to good to give that Dublin lad a look-in".

Back in Erin, he played for the League of Ireland and won five Free State caps against Italy on April 23rd 1927. He was still turning out for Jacobs in 1932
