To whom it may concern,
My name is Barbara Davidson, and I am the sales and website coordinator for Football Aid, a charity organisation that brings fans closer to their club by allowing them to play a 90 minute game on the hallowed turf of their favourite team. Legends also participate in the games, and this year we saw Danny McGrain and Neil Lennon, giving encouragement to the teams as the lived their dream. What is more, as we are a non-profit business, all of our profits go to a variety of charities, which have included Cancer Research UK, Unicef, Clic Sargent and many local charities in the communities where the clubs are based.
Our annual event was held at Celtic Park on the 18th May this year, and we subsequently raised nearly £34,000, which will be distributed to our charity Field of Dreams (which helps funds various diabetes management programmes), Celtic’s nominated charity (yet to be confirmed) and the leagues nominated charity, again, yet to be confirmed. We are presently announcing yet another spectacular achievement for Football Aid, and are wondering if it would be possible if you could post the attached story on your website for other Celtic fans to see. It is a great way to promote the charities that the club is helping, as well as letting fans know what the clubs do for those who are less fortunate.
