The Celtic Story in An Grianan Letterkenny

Letterkenny Music and Drama Group’s last production was The Celtic Story. It was staged in An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny from Tuesday 12th until Sunday 17th March 2002. The Celtic Story is a play with a lot of music and dance and relates the story of the founding of the football club, Glasgow Celtic from its inception in 1888 until the present day. This was a very popular production considering the strong ties between Donegal, Scotland and Celtic.

Liam Daly, of Daly's Shop Lifford was the lucky winner of the jersey, signed by the current Celtic team, which was raffled over the six nights of the show. Below we see him being presented with the jersey by Pluincéad Ó Fearraigh, producer of Celtic Story and Tommy Sweeney, a member of the cast.
